The history of the house

The house was built 1887 

 The house at Mellangatan was built by the Good Templars 1887. It was used as a meeting hall for the Good Templars and later the hall became a cinema theatre already in 1906. The building was a cinema mainly for thirty years.
 In 1982 the building was made into a hotel. The hotel was rented by a local football club, Visby IF-Gute and the hotel got its name, Hotell Gute. In year 1991 Anna Forslund took over the hotel and has been owned by her since then.
